Welcome to AIMS
Who are we?

We are a registered charity founded at the beginning of 2024, based in Marbella, Spain. Our experienced team of dedicated animal lovers is committed to the care, rescue, and rehabilitation of dogs and cats in need—from vulnerable puppies and kittens to the elderly, malnourished and abused.
Through hands-on experience, we have identified the areas where support is needed most for animals across the coast and beyond. Guided by an ethos of optimism, compassion, and collaboration, we work together to create meaningful change and give every animal the chance of a safer, happier future.
Where are we?

Aims works remotely with offices in Marbella & Zagaleta. We are an umbrella association looking after struggling rescue centres that have no government funding. Our office also runs a great team of volunteers and carers that can look after dogs in a calm, safe and clean environment. We endeavour to assist abandoned animals that need our help by placing them in residences, foster homes or training and rehabilitation facilities. The rescue centres we assist are based across the coastline of southern Spain where there is a high level of abandoned animals and municipal shelters are continuously full. We work with an excellent team of local vets, trainers and behaviourists assisting us with our aims.
What we do:

- We offer a high-quality adoption and rehoming service, ensuring every animal is carefully matched with the right home. Our work extends beyond adoption, with tailored training programmes for both rehomed and privately owned dogs, supporting long-term success and responsible ownership.
- We provide dedicated rehabilitation for animals in need, including the elderly, the sick, and those requiring behavioural support, giving them the time and care they deserve to recover and thrive. For the most vulnerable animals on the coast, we provide peaceful sanctuary enclosures at our partner sanctuary in Seville, where they can fully decompress, recover, rehabilitate, and receive compassionate palliative care where necessary.
- For those less likely to find immediate homes, our virtual adoption programme allows supporters to contribute to their ongoing care.
- Alongside our hands-on work, we are committed to education—offering guidance for owners and delivering school initiatives that promote animal welfare, responsible dog ownership, and the importance of sterilisation.
