Animals in Marbella Sanctuary

Karla and Karliche are two German Shorthaired Pointers (male and female) who, like so many others, have been discarded by a hunter. These people use them as tools to kill wild animals. When the dogs no longer serve them, they often abandon or even kill them. In this case, the hunter threatened us several times with ending both of their lives because they were not productive.

Karla isn't a good hunter, but she's an ideal companion for any family. A joint adoption would be ideal for both of them since they've been together since they were puppies. However, we are considering options because the important thing is to be able to provide a wonderful home for both of them in any way possible.

Karla has lived her entire life locked in a cage, only allowed out for "hunting," which is why her anxiety level was so high upon arrival. For a few weeks now, we've been walking her on a leash every day and teaching her to live a calm life. Despite everything, she's a German Shorthaired Pointer, a breed of active but very intelligent and noble dog. She's very clean in her kennel and never does her business inside.

At the moment, she's not sociable with cats or rodents; she doesn't attack them, but she's very attentive to them. However, she is very sociable with other dogs, both male and female, and also small dogs.

She's very social and friendly with people, including children. Little by little, she's easing her energy, so she could be an ideal companion for families with children who are raised on respect and animal welfare.
