Animals in Marbella Sanctuary

Karliche is a high-energy German Shorthaired Pointer. He's an active dog breed by nature, but extremely intelligent and noble. Their life with the hunter hasn't been good. They were always locked in a cage and only went out to "hunt." Unfortunately, this significantly raises the dogs' energy levels, which are gradually decreasing here at the shelter with affection, patience, and love. Recently the volunteer described Karliche as a slow and tender dog in his park because he only wants hugs, but his energy level is still high during the walks.

Karliché is an ideal companion: he's not yet compatible with cats or rodents, but he's very sociable with other dogs (males, females, even small dogs). Like Karla, they are both very sociable with people, always willing to give and receive love, and also with children raised to respect animals.

We would love to find a joint adoption for the two, as they've been together since they were puppies, but we're considering all options. At the shelter, we work with them every day and take them for long walks on a leash. They're learning everything they need to be the best companions possible. Karliche is very clean in his kennel; he never does his business inside.
